Hard trail run along Wasatch rim from Blacksmith Fork Canyon to Prov Canyon to Mt Logan.  Super hot and beautiful!  Took over four hours to run this.

Late run after a long two day work trip.  Utterly exhausted and sore but for a change it's all from pushing the edge with training lately.  Finally getting some groove into the running again.  

  I've refused the e book thing for a long time.  I love the feel of actual pages in my hands and somehow always feel better if I have a book or two always on me.  This week we finished the test phase with the FAA to use ipads in the cockpit to replace all charts, maps, approaches, and the six flight manuals we carry.  I've carried these things for 17 years.  Cannot express how strange it is to not have charts all around me anymore.  I'll hate to see the day books dissapear but it seems inevitable.

On the USU track today.  2 mile warm up, 8X1,000 aiming for 3:30 pace, with 200 walk in between.  Pretty close on pace a few seconds above or below each time.  8X100 strides barefoot on the grass and a two mile cooldown.  

Easy 3 miles in the evening around the neighborhood

I could feel through the week running that this would be so so today for me.  Just a bit too exhausted.  I felt like I could do at least a six minute pace though and almost blew by going too fast through the first 4 miles.  A slowed back a bit and recovered enough to get on six pace.  Obviously not happy with my race times this year but I do seem to have shaken the knee thing off.

 Really enjoyed seeing everyone again.  Rob ran a great race.  His kids enjoyed telling me all afternoon that their dad is once again faster than me.  :-)
