Most miserable run experience in a while.  Taped up my feet to get in a run and the blisters just tore all over the place.  What a mess.  I gave up on it and figured they would heal anyway like blisters normally do, except these are on my heels, basically are my heels.  After 1 mile I got a splitting headache right behind my eye.  It would stop when I stopped running but immediately start up again when I started back up.  So I had to run with it for an hour.  When I got back and stopped it dissappeared.  Weirdest headache ever.  Add all that together with the sore legs from Saturday and it was a good time.

You are a tough guy, I would have called it a day after the first mile.

That's what I thought too. Could you send fellow Blogger Rob Murphy a note about how tough I am? He never has empathy for my suffering.

Nice training BTW, what's the next race?

Some great runner once said that the running with pain with make you stronger. I'm not sure, but sounds like you are testing it.

All this over a blister?

Steve, am planning on watching runners around mile 18 (maverick in millville) on saturday. do you want me to spot you a water bottle or anything?

See what I mean?! At least I can submit my report to Runner's World, they take pansy articles.

Scott, sounds awesome! I kind of just decided to run it for sure today. I need to get you a Mt. Dew though. None of that water stuff..

I will do my best to avoid this Murphy character, sounds like a miserly old drill sergeant. Good luck at TOU, personally, I prefer Red Bull.

Steve, now I know why I like you so much, you are a fellow "brother of the dew". Conveniently, there is a maverick there where I will be able to get us both a dew. then I will run a half mile or so with you while we savor the sweet nectar. please confirm you want a dew with the hard stuff- sugar- or do you want the diet variety?

Ha Ha! Rob is going to love reading that. Seriously, he is one of the most fun guys I know and has forgotten more about running than I ever knew. We are joking about a R2R2 run article in Runners World, which we are going to attempt in October. But he was military...

Scott, sugar for sure. I have never run a good TOU. Maybe some sugar will help. That race starts at mile 20, more than any other marathon.
