So nice to have a marathon with no pressure, just for fun.  I had a Nashville overnight, just two hours away from Huntsville and just enough time to drive down the night before and drive back after the race.

Fun marathon, but I have never ran this many 90 degree turns in a race before.  It was all over the city.  I wouldn't recommend this one for anyone looking for a fast time, but great hospitality!

I'm excited now to get into the training mode again

Nice run Steve. Assuming this is your last race of the year, and now you'll be building up for the 2012 season?

Yep, I need to start training again this week and take off about 13 pounds. I've just been coasting for a while.

Nice easy fun marathon...just thought you would throw one in on a lark, huh?

Glad you had a fun time.

Man, that's a really slow time.

I bet it's fun to run a no-pressure marathon!

A marathon for fun... that sounds nice. It's been too long for me since I've just ran with no pressure. Good job!

Nice job, did you know Sasha was there? I think I saw a post that he ran that one.

Rob, thanks. The support from friends on this blog is what gets me going in the cold winter months. :-)

Guys, don't you think we are too damn serious about this sport sometimes? It's fun right? Walter, he was on my flight both ways.

From Jake K on Tue, Dec 13, 2011 at 11:23:33 from 155.100.226.53

Steve - if you had been the pilot on that flight, would you have let Sasha fly the plane for a little while? :-)

Oh and don't listen to Rob... he tripped 3 times on a flat paved bike path on Saturday.

From Steve on Tue, Dec 13, 2011 at 14:45:51 from 209.235.31.148

He asked me about riding up front, lol! I was supposed to be flying the trip, but when I showed up they had two crews by accident so I just rode in the observers seat. It's not often that I get my trips to line up with cities that have a marathon. I have only been able to do it three times.

No problem Steve.

Just don't want you to go getting a big head.
