6 miles from my house just as the sun was setting.   What a beautiful evening.  Just enough time tonight to get home, spend some time with the kids and go back to work.  It's been a busy week, 4th night in a row with time enough for only 4 hours to sleep.  Oh well, maybe catch up next week.  It sure was nice to be home, even if just for a few hours.

The short nights have not helped with a quick recovery from the half marathon so this week has been hard work running.  It will basically be the philosophy of "running through" it for a while.

We have had a new puppy in the family for the last three weeks and now since she is 14 weeks old her running training is starting.  She is a Chesepeake Bay, a great running breed, and the poor thing doesn't have a clue what kind of a life awaits her.  We did a mile together last night and she had no problems keeping up, even at that age.  It's been 24 years since I had a dog, my wife hated animals so this has been really neat.  The girls don't give her a break.

This week I have been "told" three times that it's been long enough being single and it's time to start dating.  The culture here always makes me smile.  Single dads with kids are square pegs that everyone tries to fit into round holes.

You are just a very good "catch"! Take it as a compliment...you are just well liked by the ladies (of course not as much as by your young ladies at home!).

Ha Ha! That's a good way to look at it. Looks like your marathon training is looking good.
